Regenerative Medicine at University Pain Consultants

Regenerative Medicine focuses on harnessing your body’s own natural healing abilities to repair damaged tissues, reduce inflammation, and promote long-term recovery. Treatments such as Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF), and Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) are used to support the body’s repair processes for conditions involving joints, tendons, ligaments, spine, and soft tissues.

Important Note:
These regenerative treatments are not part of our regular pain management practice. Because they are considered elective and investigational by most insurance companies, they are not covered by insurance. Patients are responsible for the full cost of these services.

About the Director, Rainier Guiang, MD

I founded the Regenerative Medicine program at University Pain Consultants because I saw too many patients caught in the gap between “live with the pain” and “have the surgery.” My goal here is to give you a third option — one that works with your body’s own biology rather than against it. As Director of the Regenerative Medicine Clinic at UPC, I personally oversee every treatment we offer, from the initial evaluation through follow-up. These therapies are precise, evidence-informed, and tailored to each patient — whether you’re an athlete trying to avoid an operating room, someone managing chronic joint or tendon pain, or a patient looking to restore healthier hair and skin.
